Gilbert, AZ- The senior directed one acts were very impressive! I have been watching these students all year long and was very entertained by their plays.

My favorite of the three was by far “Squad Goals.” Anessa Pierre (12) and Molly Knollmiller (12) directed this short but hilarious story about a basketball team trying to create the perfect underdog story. The actors in it all did a wonderful job of getting into character.

My least favorite play was “Memory Garden.” It was very hard to follow along and understand everything that was said. As an actor, it’s much easier to play a silly and fun part, rather than a serious and mysterious role, so it’s understandable why it was a little bit confusing.

The other one act, “Accused of Comedy” was really good too. The actors did a beautiful job at telling their jokes, and keeping all of the puns easy to hear and understand. The story was very cheesy, but I enjoyed it.

Overall the One-Acts were very impressive and entertaining. I’m proud to be a part of the Thespian Black Hawks!
